Arches Hotel

Small friendly vegetarian hotel. Ten to fifteen minutes walk from centre of Bristol. Recycled paper is used in all stationery as well as for facial and toilet tissues. Wherever possible fair traded products are used, e.g. Traidcraft, Café Direct.

We never knowingly use Genetically Modified Foods and use as much organic as we can. Low energy lighting throughout, with light sensors and timers where appropriate.

All glass, cans, plastic bottles, paper, cardboard etc. is collected for recycling and biodegradable bin liners used when available. Kitchen waste is composted.



Bed linen and towels changed once per week or for each new guest. This reduces water and detergent use. Environmentally 'friendly' cleaning products used wherever possible. Heating and hot water provided by condensing gas boilers (approximately 96-98% efficient). We purchase our electricity from renewable sources.
