Mia offers private Hatha Yoga classes in Ottawa?s Glebe Neighborhood. We also offer yoga for babies. Our classes include the following:
Power yoga:
Students focus upon dynamic standing and balancing postures, which build strength and stamina. Benefits include: improved posture, weight loss and management, cleansing the body of toxins, balancing of strength and flexibility to prevent injury, and many other benefits of physical and mental wellness.
Beginners Yoga:
Small or private classes are a great introduction to yoga. Core principles and concepts become clear more quickly, enhancing a student?s personal practice and relationship with yoga. Through guidance tailored to their needs, student s progress at their own rate avoiding injury and creating a deep, lasting and enjoyable personal practice.
Baby Yoga:
(all care-takers welcome with their infants) Practicing yoga with your baby provides a time of connection through movement, touch and sound. Students attend to their post-pregnancy (for women) bodies through pelvic strengthening and releasing tension in the lower back, while taking an active role in the development of their infant?s motor skills and musculature.
Restorative Yoga:
This practice guides the student, through movement, into supported postures that allow spaces in the body to open and relax. Restorative yoga is perfect for reducing stress and recovering from injury. It also provides a healthy compliment to other athletic practices, e.g. swimming, running, cycling, etc.
