We are an intimate yoga studio in Smithtown, on the north shore of Long Island, NY in Suffolk County. Iyengar, Vinyasa and Pranayama Classes are offered. One-on-One Private Instruction and Yoga Therapy available by appointment.

The focus at Amba Yoga Center of Smithtown is on freedom and new possibilities. First comes freedom of movement. But what follows is even more important: freedom of body, mind and Spirit. With these expanded freedoms come new possibilities. More ease. More flexibility, in our bodies and in our lives. Perhaps even a new way of seeing the world.

Our foundation at Amba is based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. This traditional form of hatha yoga is practiced with attention on alignment, form, and a deep engagement within each pose. Gentle yoga, Vinyasa flow yoga, Pranayama (breath control) and Tai Chi are also taught here by outstanding instructors.

Our classes are for experienced yoga students and for people who have never done yoga before. Everyone is welcome to attend.
