Reserva Ecologica Pachijal

Reserva Ecologica Pachijal is an eco & bird lodge located in the Cloud forest of Mindo. We built the lodge close to 100ha of forest of our own and we implemented 40km trails to walk the Cloudforest.

As lodge we offer accomodation, birding tours in the Valley of Mindo, one of top locations in the world for the number of species of birds(more than 500) watchable on such a small territory, wildlife viewing packages, including the visit to the Ceremonial site of Tulipe, rest of Los Yumbos, the indigenous living here prior to the arrival of Spaniards.

We even oprate as a local tour operator and we offer a community-based tour to Playa de Oro, an aro-ecuatorian community located in the provinche of smeraldas, we try this way to help them to preserve 10,000hectares of community-owned coastal rainforest;extensions to Amazon at Sani Lodge, another community-owned lodge located on Rio Napo;extensions to Andes and Galapagos Islands, even with tailored programs.
