Learning About Forest - Leaf International

The Learning About Forests Programme is dedicated to induce school classes and teachers to use forests for educational activities. We propose to teachers and pupils to go to forests and to learn about them and from them.

The Learning About Forests Programme serves as an educational programme about forests. It takes all the human activities taking place inside school and moves them to the forests.

Our aim is to support children and teachers with learning about and in forests. We advice and support them in using the forests as a special setting for outdoor learning.

The Learning About Forests Programme has been inspired by the experiences of the previous programmes in Finland, Norway and Sweden. There forest-based industries have co-operated with independent national school programmes.
