Veganica.com is a website for vegan and vegetarian artists, musicians, and bloggers. We provide a space for our members to share their creativity with the world in a community centered around the ethics of a cruelty-free lifestyle.

Many of our artists and crafts-people have items for sale on our site. We offer everything from paintings and photographs to jewelry and clothing. We also have our own line of sweatshop-free tee shirts and hoodys with our logos and designs.

Veganica membership is open to anyone who wants to be involved, including non-profit organization and non-artists who want to be able to post blogs or just comment on other people's artworks and blogs. We are a constantly evolving website with a goal of being as inclusive as possible to anyone interested in the vegan or vegetarian lifestyle.

Tied in to Veganica is our podcast project, Vegan Radio. Vegan Radio is based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Hosts Megan Shackelford and Derek Goodwin (founder of Veganica) started the project when a community-run volunteer radio station opened in Northampton. The station, ValleyFree Radio is a low-powered FM station broadcasting on 103.3FM and Megan and Derek decided it would be great to get a radio show about veganism onto the airwaves.

Vegan Radio broadcast its first show on October 26th, 2005 and has been on the air ever since. The show is made into a podcast which can be downloaded and enjoyed anywhere in the world. Each show is centered around a theme or an interview, dealing mainly with issues of veganism and animal rights but also featuring local environmentally-friendly companies and organizations. Vegan Radio also features musical guests and has a news segment that features stories relevant to the show.
