Green Weddings and Events
"Green Weddings&Events" opened in 2005 as the first event planning business in Southern California focused on eco-friendly productions. Our weddings are an expression of the 21century Zeitgeist: multi-cultural, creative, fun celebrations with awareness for the life that surrounds them.
Our couples rock'n roll, tango or waltz through the of the best days of their lives without leaving a trail of waste and dizzying carbon-emissions. We plan every detail from invitations to recycling, coordinate the day of the event or offer consultations only.
To live the green way is a luxury as organic food costs a little more and research and planning takes more of our precious time as there's no beaten path to follow. To pause and think and find new ways is expensive. To make conscious partying easy on the modern bride our guide "The luxury of Loving Green" will be published in April of 2008.
To be green or "greenish" manifests in many ways: to use eco-friendly products, enjoy a gourmet caterer of the organic kind, drive the newest Hybrid car or donate part of our wedding checks to save wild horses in Arizona - there is not limit to your imagination. Green is respect and love for all creation and to balance human needs and Nature's flow.
Green means integration not separation, togetherness not competition. Wherever we are on the green spectrum and however we chose to show it - with a gesture or a huge embrace - we will raise awareness, especially when we do it with grace and fun. Your part of the 70 Billion dollar wedding industry (per year) sends a clear message: We love the planet and we'd like to keep it.
