Solar Host was developed as a environmentally friendly and responsible web hosting company. We are dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and pollution associated with our hosting, by using carefully selected datacenters we are proud to be powered 100% by Solar Energy. We have also made huge efforts to reduce the energy consumption of our servers including using AMD Opteron powered servers which use sixty percent less energy and generate fifty percent less heat.

We have a very carefully selected data center, the data center has an environmentally friendly design. It is completely steel framed with no wood at all except for the door frames on the interior of the building. Our walls are over 12 inches thick and filled with insulation that has recycled content. They built the data center, network and servers from the start to use the lowest amount of energy possible using the latest green design techniques, no other data center can do what they do without starting from scratch. The center uses solar tubes to bring in natural sunlight which eliminates the use for conventional lighting during the day. The cooling systems are water cooled which reduces the amount of electricity because of the unique setup.
