Nixie Clothing was established in 2006, the aim to only use the highest quality reconditioned and vintage fabrics and end of roll and to source and produce in the UK under fair-trade standards.
The clothing industry is one of the largest in the world, responsible for enormous pollution and environmental destruction. In the UK alone 900 000 tonnes of textiles are thrown into landfills each year.
If everyone in the UK bought one reclaimed woolen garment each year it would save an average of 37 million gallons of water and 480 tones of chemical dye.
Nixie Clothing aims to respect and protect the environment. We reduce, re-use and recycle in all aspects of our business.
We support Fair Trade and Sweat-shop free policies.
