At Newell Graphics, we have Green Screen Printing taken steps to ensure that we are doing our part for the environment as well as for the health of our workers. We love printing t-shirts, but we don't feel that any t-shirt is worth risking our health for.

Here's some things we do differently: PVC FREE WATERBASED INKS: One of the biggest steps we've taken is switching to eco-friendly, PVC free waterbased screen printing inks.Traditionally, screenprinting is done with plastisol inks. Most printers prefer them because they are easy to work with. However, they contain Water Based Screen Printingphthalates , PVC's and other chemicals and solvents which have been linked to various health concerns such as cancer. And theyre defenitely not great for our earth.

That's why waterbased inks are a smart choice. They don't contain these harmful chemicals. And they only require water for cleanup, instead of nasty solvents. And with some of the new laws on phthalates being instituted in California, and other states, this is a perfect option. All of our inks now comply with these new laws.

OTHER IMPORTANT STEPS: Besides switching to waterbased and Phalate free inks, we have eliminated many harmful chemicals from our shop. We have replaced petroleum or solvent based cleaning chemicals with safer soy or citrus based alternatives. And instead of using aerosol spray adhesives to hold the shirt down while we print, we've switched to a water based version.
