Ilum-a-Lite

Ilum-A-Lite Pty Ltd was founded in 1996 to develop and take to market an innovative product designed to reduce the cost of operating fluorescent lighting by conserving the amount of energy needed to operate the light. The company is based in Sydney and is still owned and operated by the three original founders.

The company currently has an established distribution network throughout Australia, Asia and Europe and the products are widely installed and specified by many energy management companies and government departments. Ilum-a-Lite is now focussing on the development of further distributors worldwide and crystallising opportunities in China and India. To do so, Ilum-A-Lite took a 51% stake in a Joint Venture Company in Beijing in 2004 and is negotiating to introduce new innovative products.

Light Eco?

Light Eco? is a compact controller unit, which is mounted between the power distribution board and the fluorescent light circuit. When installed it save 25% to 30 % of the power used by fluorescent lights. More than 40,000 have been installed worldwide.

In 2004/5 the company commenced new R&D projects resulting in the introduction of higher capacity Light Eco units and units that function with High Intensity Discharge lamps. These open opportunities to enter the street lighting market in China.

Save-it-Easy

Save-it-Easy is a patented, in line electronic ballast for fluorescent lighting. Ilum-a-Lite is the exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand. When installed it saves 35-45% of the energy used and can be installed for half the cost of any other electronic ballast.
