Unstitched Utilities is a men's and women's footwear brand that seamlessly fuses the worlds of style and sustainability. Unstitched started out using an innovative material - Tyvek by Dupont.
Kevin Crowley, the designer for Unstitched, worked in close collaboration with Dupont while working at Hodgeman Rubber Company in 1972. He designed protective suits out of Tyvek.
This is a recycled material that is used for FedEx envelopes and house wrap. It has a crinkled paper look and is virtually water proof.
Recyclable and stylish!Unstitched Utilities also started using other eco friendly materials such as reclaimed rice bag, recycled tires, and eco friendly glues.
They are just beginning and are experimenting with other environmentally minded materials!“We believe that being ‘Green’ should not just be a trend, but the way we all live our lives.”
Ethical and Environmental Policy:
Fashioned from recycled and repurposed materials, which are environmentally and vegan friendly.
