Green Light Candles features unscented hand poured eco-friendly candles that are all natural made from 100% soy wax. Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans.

After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturate. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it a solid at room temperature.

Soy wax is a very eco-friendly product with a lot of benefits. It is a renewable, sustainable resource that is all natural, biodegradable, vegan friendly, and water soluble. The soy wax that we use in our candles is grown in Midwest America free from pesticides, herbicides and contains no genetically modified material.

Soy wax makes a great candle because it burns cooler, more uniformly, and can last up to 50% longer than traditional paraffin wax candles. Soy wax is also a clean burning wax, with little to no petro-soot or other harmful emissions, so there's no black ring of soot around the top of the candle container and allergies are seldom triggered.
