KYYOTE
KYYOTE jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind or limited edition, handmade by designer Amanda Loos in her Los Angeles studio. The environmentally-conscious goal at the heart of the KYYOTE philosophy is to utilize materials that would otherwise be put to waste; most notably rescued and recycled exotic hardwoods, and vintage plastics (predominantly bakelite).
Working with small domestic suppliers, Amanda seeks out and incorporates bits and pieces, odds and ends of gorgeous organic and man-made materials to stunning eco-friendly result, creating a collection that is at once modern, sensual, and striking in both its natural and constructed beauty.
KYYOTE is proud to use organic and humanely harvested feathers (from a lovely family-owned and cared for flock in the southwestern US) in the line as well.
Each piece is meticulously manufactured by hand as soon as it is ordered, and due to the nature of the materials, no two will be exactly alike. Much like people, each piece has a soul and personality of its own.
We hope you will celebrate and embrace the unique characteristics of your KYYOTE jewelry. An all-natural and hand-rubbed linseed oil finish is used to seal and protect any wood in the piece.
Through the non-profit organization, Trees for the Future, KYYOTE plants 2 trees for every piece sold.
