Bamboo is a sustainable resource that thrives naturally without the use of pesticides or the need for fertilizer. Bamboo can grow as much as18 inches over night. The bamboo used in the production of textiles is plantation-raised bamboo. The significance of plantation raised bamboo is that the harvesting of the bamboo does not interfere with the habitat of Panda bears.

Because of its hollow fiber, bamboo has unusual breathing capabilities.The fiber is filled with micro gaps and micro-holes which allows for better moisture absorption and ventilation than other fibers.

Bamboo fiber can absorb and evaporate perspiration quickly. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial because of its bio-agent bamboo ?kun? which does not allow the growth of bacteria on the fiber and therefore eliminates the need for anti-microbial chemical treatment (which is known to cause allergic reaction). When you perspire your clothing will not pick up the odour of your perspiration.
