Ecoprintworks is a worker and community minded screen printing and custom apparel company out of the San Francisco bay area.

We provide custom printing and design services for environmentally and fashion conscious businesses, schools, organic markets, yoga studios, and more.

A few years ago we decided to make a switch from the industry norm - using PVC based plastisol inks - replacing these (and the solvent based cleaning products used to service them) with 100% water based inks. While the new inks proved a bit more finicky to work with, the benefits were well worth the cost.

On an everyday level, everyone involved with production seemed more than happy to say goodbye to the noxious cleaners. On a global level, we were reducing considerably the amount of petroleum based products we were consuming with every job.
And while the customers were happy to say they had their new t-shirts printed 'green' - they loved the super soft, almost imperceptible feel of the water based print.
