Landvernd, The Icelandic Environment Association is a non governmental organisation which includes other NGO's, companies and individuals. Landvernd promotes conservation of nature, the protection of the country's cultural landscape and the responsible use of land and ocean.

Landvernd promotes protection and reclamation of both soil and vegetation as well as sustainable utilization of land and ocean resources.

Our aim is to make the nature more accessible and to encourage healthy lifestyles. We opt for an international co-operation for environmental protection and nature conservation.

Landvernd mission is to help reduce pollution and limit activities that are environmentally harmful. We want to promote ecological and environmental awareness of the Icelandic nature and our environment.
