EcoMedia Source is an on-demand manufacturer of digital media. On-demand processing offers e-tailers a virtual 'always in stock' inventory. This is the ultimate of Just-In-Time manufacturing where the product is produced in a matter of minutes.

EcoMedia starts the process by establishing distribution relationships with content providers who distribute their product on optical media, such as CD, DVD, DVD9 and Blu-Ray. This content is prepared and securely encrypted for future use.

The process is simple for the e-tailer. They receive an order from a customer and then transmit that order electronically to EcoMedia Source. EcoMedia is capable of receiving a transmission as simple as an email or as complex as bulk EDI data.

We guarantee that orders received before 12:00 PM EST will be shipped to the customer within 24 hours if not the same business day. We can make this guarantee because the CD or DVD can be produced within minutes.

EcoMedia Source supports as many environmental-friendly efforts as possible. As a standard we use re-cycled material where ever possible, i.e. cases, paper, and shipping materials. We use premium CD and DVD material for the actual media produced. Our environmentally conscious efforts do not stop with the physical product. Our technology eliminates the need for bulk production and distribution of products.

Standard production methods and a major manufacturing philosophy for CD's and DVD's is to guess how many units you think will sell, then push the quantity up to the next 'economical buy quantity', produce the CD/DVD and distribute to the next level of distribution. The drawback to this method is when the quantity produced does not sell. Some of the costs, i.e. for shipping and occupying stockroom space are wasted. More importantly the unsold product has to be disposed of. Some of the product may find their home in a clearance center, but for the most part, the rest will wind up in a landfill.
