TALETON TRADITIONAL INN

TALETON, the highest peak of Mount Taygetos, lends its name to this traditional inn which reveres the land and respects its traditions. Built entirely in local stone, wood and iron, tinted with natural pigments, TALETON Traditional Inn rises stone on stone among old barns and farm buildings. Winter and summer, ventilation, heating and cooling are effected through a bio-climatic system (roof-top ventilation, geothermal heating).

The garden with its flowers, trees, shrubs and beautiful fountain is irrigated using rainwater, a gift from the skies sent by angels and collected in an underground cistern. TALETON Traditional Inn is a thirty-bed, four-star hotel. It has three rooms and seven two-storey suites each with a sitting area, fireplace, fully-equipped bathroom, telephone, access to the Internet, satellite television, mini-bar and safe.

Guests can enjoy a well-provisioned breakfast buffet in the breakfast room, close to both the courtyard and the sitting room with its fireplace and bar. A wealth of well-guarded secrets goes into the gastronomic treats taken exclusively from the TALETON cookery book of traditional recipes.

But there is one fact that is more important than all the secrets put together: the ingredients the TALETON chef uses are, for the most part, our own local produce, and they are all organically grown.
