Sheikh Salem House
Sheikh Salem House in Dahab offers holidays, accomodation and tours all developed according to our responsible tourism policy, We work with our local bedouin community to deliver a unique cultural experience of the sinai desert.
We offer a range of accomodation in Sinai that has been developed according to green principles.
We offer adventures and activities all according to our eco guidelines, we also work on special community projects including the development of a bedouin womens handicrafts project.
All the accomodation we offer is locally owned and managed by local staff. Our accomdation has been made from natural materials, much of it reclaimed and reused. We use energy saving lightbulbs and recycle and reuse as much as we can.
We also offer accomodation in other areas of Sinai including St Catherines Eco Lodge, Nuweiba Eco Friendly Bedouin Camp and much more.
Everything we do is considered carefully regarding impacts to plant and enviroment. Whilst we wont preach green to our guests we will offer guidance and useful tips which we hope they will continue to practise when they return home.
On site we offer a lazy camel cafe - Dahabs first cafe using only energy saving lighting, offering no processed foods, all food is prepared fresh from scratch from the minute of the order. We believe fresh food is the best food, so we dont microwave we cook the traditional way.
Finally on site we sell locally made Bedouin crafts, all profits will be reinvested to obtain more materials and develop new designs.
So for a holiday that really does make a difference come and stay in the house of a real bedouin sheikh and get back to nature.
