Call of the Sea

The mission of Call of the Sea is to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to connect to the sea, San Francisco Bay, and seafaring.

The hands-on programs aboard our 82' Schooner SEAWARD focus on the ocean and bay environment, our nautical heritage, seamanship, teamwork, and leadership.

SEAWARD is a staysail schooner whose sails range from 3 hour Bay sails to week-long coastal voyages with teenagers to ocean passages.

Based in San Francisco Bay, she sails mainly along the California coast from April to December and also has wintertime trips in Mexico with adults and groups.

These adventures in Mexico offer adults and families a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn the ways of the sea from professional mariners and to experience the pristine beauty of Baja Mexico under sail.
