ECO MEDIA
Eco media is more than just television and radio. It includes journalists and reporters. It includes magazines and recordings. It includes books, movies and blogs. It is communication that is environmentally sensitive. These companies are found throughout the world.
An example of eco media is the Environment News Service. (ENS) It is the original daily international news service of the environment. Its mission is to present environmental news in a fair and balanced nature. Hundreds of websites feature ENS headlines. It has offices in Washington D.C. and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Within this category, eco media, you will find information from around the globe – Japan, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, South America, the United Kingdom, and the United States. There are about 40 different publications that have the environment as the reason for their existence.
The eco media category also includes festivals and events. The Earth Day Network is listed here. It is probably the largest organized effort to promote environmental citizenship and year round progressive action. They have about one million people on their mailing list. You can connect with them right here on this web site.
There are over 50 listings under the “internet” subcategory. It is a source of activities, information, organizations and directories. You can find an outlet for your creative ideas and ambitions. The subcategory “databases” provides lists of ethical jobs and green engineering jobs, many of these sites in the United Kingdom.
Thomas L. Freidman is a New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winning author of environmental books.
