ECO FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
 Green companies manufacture many different kinds of eco products. Baby products contain organic cotton, which is environmentally friendly because it is grown without the use of pesticides of any kind. Eco friendly building materials are used to construct sustainable homes made with recycled and natural products.
Body care products and cleaning products are made organically without harsh chemicals. Goat’s milk soap is one example of an eco product for body care. Substitutes for cleaning products include ingredients such as vinegar and baking soda, especially worthwhile for clogged drains. Hydrogen peroxide sterilizes counters the same as bleach, which eliminates adding chlorine to drain water.
Gardening products include compost materials and manure in place of chemical fertilizers that contaminate groundwater.
There is no need to use plastic bags for shopping items. It takes a little forethought to bring your own re-usable bags, but it is worth the effort. Plastic bags are not biodegradable and stack up in landfills. Some cities in the U.S., such as San Francisco, have banned the use of plastic shopping bags altogether.
Energy saving devices abound. There are compact fluorescent light bulbs, which represent a huge energy savings in your electric bill. The are energy efficient front loading washing machines that use less water and energy to clean your clothes. Energy efficient refrigerators use newer refrigerant materials and the compressors use less electricity.
Become an environmentally conscious shopper and use green products as much as possible. |
