We met with other organizations that will benefit from what we do. All in all it was a good day and made a lot of contacts.

Mission Statement:
Kids Defense Team Inc opened our doors in 2003.
We incorporated our organization in the State of Maryland in 2004.
We filed for our non profit status 501 C 3 in December of 2006.
We first started out by helping law enforcement gather information about internet predators. We turned over the information to the law enforcement for the law enforcement to continue the investigation. After much consideration Kids Defense Team Inc decided that we should leave this type of work to law enforcement and go to a different venue.
We still wanted to stay in the field of helping children. After researching where we would do our best at helping children, we decided to dedicate our work to helping homeless children. We wanted to make sure they had their needs met as far as clothing and school supplies. So we started on a crusade to gather donations to collect clothing and school supplies for homeless children.
When we get our supplies in we take them to the facilities that need the items the most and would make sure the children’s needs are met.
Kids Defense Team has been collecting donations via volunteermatch.org
Through the past year we have collected clothing from several young girls from the University of Connecticut who did a clothing drive for Kids Defense Team Inc and sent the clothing to our Maryland Office. We took that batch of clothing to
Program Name: Wayfarer's House 107 Delaware Avenue Elkton, MD 21921
All in all I would have to say we have taken over 100 bags and/or boxes of clothing to the Wayfarer House.
We have continued to get in clothing and school supplies from Volunteer Match and have been taking the items to the same place as stated above.
Kids Defense Team Inc went on a website called Wish upon a Hero and answered a couple of hero request. We had some of our contacts from Volunteer Match send a dad that was homeless with his 7 year old daughter in Vermont school supplies and school clothes.
Kids Defense Team Inc other venture is a Secret Santa. We are asking our contacts to send a wrapped gift, mark it if it is for a boy or girl, age of child and what state it comes from. We will then in turn take these gifts and hand them out at Christmas time to homeless and needy children that are going without a Christmas. Santa should come and see homeless children just like every other child.
Kids Defense Team gets in more clothing from private donor in North East Maryland. Friday night November 21, 2008 after the office has already closed for the evening I get a call from a private citizen wanting to donate some clothing. I told them to drop the clothing by, that I would be here.
Kids Defense Team is requesting donations of clothing and school supplies for children who need them. Winter clothes, coats, backpacks and other school supplies will be especially appreciated. The Kids Defense Team plans to distribute them to local children through homeless shelters, women's...
