The Village on Sewanee Creek
The Village on Sewanee Creek, a sustainable community on Tennessee's beautiful Cumberland Plateau, makes "green" an abundant, joyful way of life. Offering Tennessee mountain property in one to 10 acre lots. Our mission is to become a self-sustaining community in harmony with nature and people.
A rebate of 10%, up to $10K on each lot purchased is offered for building with alternative energy or a rainwater retention system. Homes with a cistern / rainwater collection system achieve complete independence from municipal water with improved water quality!
The Village also features a community garden with an organic gardening coach, and such amenities as a natural stone outdoor amphitheater where movies may be seen under dark, starlit skies. 500 of the 750 acres in the community are a common Nature Preserve where hiking trails meander past waterfalls to the Sewanee Creek below.
Located between Nashville, Chattanooga and Huntsville and only two hours from North Atlanta, the Village is in a rural setting, but with easy access to shopping, education (ivy-league University of the South is nearby) and cultural events.
