The Green Year

My daughter and I have new book out, "Celebrate Green! Creating Eco-Savvy Holidays, Celebrations and Traditions for the Whole Family." Our premise is that people have begun establishing eco and green habits and do a pretty good job EXCEPT when it comes to celebrating.

This wouldn't be a problem (or less of one) if we celebrated say once a year. But add the biggies like Christmas, Halloween, Easter and July 4th to the myriad personal celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, baby and wedding showers and more and you'll get the picture.

Millions of us throw out what we know to be right as soon as a celebration rolls around. Our book shows people how to put their values to work regardless of the celebration. We offer countless easy, low- or no-cost ideas that are good for people, the Earth and the community.
